Miracles upon Miracles

We've been blessed in many ways this week. We had a steady week of great lessons with great people. We were able to continue to teach the people we found last week in our efforts and the efforts of the members to help us. I have to say that the whole week was a great blessing. We managed to teach 20 lessons and get two new baptismal dates and one of our investigators (Canada) passed his interview for baptism! If those are not blessing of the Lord and His hand in my life I don't know what is....

Elder Uhlig studying Greek! It looks difficult :)

We had a great experience that stood out for me this week was with Sarfraz, one of our investigators. We've been teaching him since the start of the the transfer. He started out slow with his understanding and his progress. He was always willing to do the things we asked him but he didn't quite "get it" yet. But from last Sunday until this one he's made tremendous progress! We taught him about the Prophet today and we reviewed how the Priesthood was restored. As a commitment we asked him to watch a talk of President Monson in Urdu. Then last Saturday we saw him again and we asked him about his experience with the video. It was amazing. He lighted up and told us as much as he could in his broken English (he's from Pakistan) about the Prophet's talk (from Priesthood Session). When we asked him if he believed if he was a prophet he replied strongly in the affirmative and he was really excited when we told him that he travels and was in Germany recently and he was wondering when/if he could someday see the prophet. That was a great testimony of the Lord working through His chosen servant to touch the hearts of men.

Another cool experience was on Saturday evening. We are the missionaries that are assigned to the Young Single Adults (YSA) and they have a fun activity every Saturday evening which we are privileged to attend. This Saturday's activity was a real blast!!! The senior missionary couple responsible for YSA organized some great "Olympics". We had various relay activities. There was one race where we had to blow a paper cup along a string that was pulled taught, while following the cup on an office chair. The best activity was the one where we had to spin on the spot and then race across the room and back. People were falling on the floor left and right. I, personally, managed to get to the other side of the room but as I came close to the end the room just tipped backwards and I found myself lying on the ground. I can't explain how that happened :) It was a wonderful experience for the YSA who all loved it and some had to testify about that the next Sunday in church! So it made an impression and I'm sure it bonded them closer together.

This week we're looking forward to a baptism on Saturday with Canada and we're also looking forward to TWO exchanges and a few strikes xD So all is looking up and I'm excited to update you next time!
Let's see what the Lord has in store for me this week as I try to fill the sandals of Paul.
