Merry Christmas

A very merry Christmas to you all out there! Enjoy this sacred holiday and I wish you all to enjoy friends and family. I have a small Christmas video recommendation for all of you. Let the Christmas Spirit enter your lives with these Good Tidings of Great Joy.

We had a great week! We met with a lot of success and wonderful experiences. Our dear friend Ahmed was baptized on Saturday and he was confirmed on Sunday. We had a wonderful time teaching him. He made great progress over the weeks that we've met with him. He's so eager to learn and study. He always comes to us with questions from the things he's read and studied. We had a very nice and spiritual experience.

On Tuesday we had a small miracle where we met two of our contacts and when we came into the house all of the six inhabitants were expecting us eager to listen and learn. We had a great lesson with them and they all desired to learn more. The next time we visited them they were expecting us eagerly again and as we taught them the message of the Restoration we found eager listeners and good questioners. The Spirit was strong there and we invited them all for Church on Sunday. Sadly they were a little discouraged by that when they learned of the distance and the travel required because of their desperate financial situation.

However, here comes the second miracle. On Friday, we had an exchange with the Assistants to the President and Elder Wilderspin and I went back to these 6 great men together with Karim. We sat down and had a great lesson about some of the things we hadn't been able to cover too well the day before and we answered some of their questions. And in the end we re-invited them for church. This time two of them immediately and strongly committed to come on Sunday. It was so wonderful. One of them just said, "As for me, I'm coming!" with such resoluteness that I was sure he'd come. His friend then said that he would come too.

They both came on Sunday to church and stayed for all three hours. They were really great and I think they loved it a lot. They came early and they even had to take a taxi for part of the way because the road had been blocked by the police at one point and the bus didn't go further. I'm so happy for this miracle and the Lord's hand in my and their lives.

Enjoy the Christmas holidays!
